I didnÕt want her to be,
I donÕt know
She was the dare of the day
The sun said I should take her for a ride

For a woman she was
But her feet were shoeless,
I wanted her to be standing as tall
As he mother use to
Standing at the top of the stairs
With her hair down,
Heels, black with sensitivity

I wanted her
To be the shameless serenade of my dreams
The conversation of the morning ease

I wanted her to be,
I donÕt know,
An absolute truth
But the farther I see her
I see her eyes
Like the sea holds onto the tides
That hit the rocks each morning
She comes to the edge

These games
For what,
Your honest cheeks
CanÕt hide your lips anymore

You canÕt hide the drift
Of the doors creak, anymore.

an interesting and insightful write...found this phrase so enchanting:

"I wanted her
To be the shameless serenade of my dreams
The conversation of the morning ease"
