Indeed its sad. I believe whole heartedly that family is the most important thing in life.

Jerry
You're a typical loner type and lover of the arts.
That's where the inspiration comes from.
What you're seeing/hearing through your brothers is and probably always has been, separate from your internal pilot light waiting to express yourself in a relanguaged form.
You have to admit, writers, musicians, actors and etc are a strange brood. Too sensitive sometimes and see criticism like a fire hydrant views a dog????
I may be wrong but I've read a lot of your poetry.
At a certain age one gets longing to know the difference and just what's coming down the pike for the final chapters.
You might not have near as much to be ashamed of as you think you do. (reading your writing)
Guilt is like putting a writer's hands through a set of stocks and then demanding results.
You're a fine writer and very prolific.

I'd just write on!!
I know you will anyway, you can't help yourself.

Eric

ain't doin nothin at all just answerin the call

Thanks Trina for expressing yourself concerning this poem. I know you are probably right, it just never seemed that way to me.

Sorry about that Lori. I sure understand where you are coming from.

Oh, I have (just recently, like last October) learned how to forgive myself for things I have done and things imagined, Eric. If not for the written work I doubt it would have ever happened.

You are correct that certain people have a tendency for being a bit strange and sensitive. Thanks for going out of your way to articulate this.

The writing does help us to understand ourselves and others, Jerry, and maybe even reach out to those who may tend to be sad and lonely too.

Sure, Ida, the art of communication wherever it may be is a golden opportunity to reach out, as you said to different people. We have been doing that for many centuries and yet war and pestilence follow us.
