Eggs don't taste like chicken,
'though they are fowl, in transit-ish.
If all of life's implicious--
it all would reek of sssshhh-hubris.

Happy New Year Pipple.

Haha!! Good to see you here again. I can see that you are starting off the New Year in fine fashion. I been at the ER most of the day getting antibiotics and cough syrup with codeine. Yea!! Hope it works, I've been trying to fight it with Jewish penicillin. Didn't work this time.

it's like I'm being hugged by everything good in the world.—August 16, 2010

Catfish don't taste like cats,
Songbirds don't bring on a song.
Serenity don't make me serene,
All this right simply seems so wrong.

The more things change, the more they stay the same, so I am glad to see you are not affected by a new year. Me neither!

Rex Allen, Rex Allen, oh what can I say?

I've missed you, I've missed you!

(how we useta play)

I know. They'll think we're naughty.

And Sharon?

"Serenity don't make me serene."

Now you've gone and reminded me of a story--a little anecdote, if you will--Last year, I started to read a book called "How to Cope With Difficult People". I realized quickly (in the bathroom)that the title was kinda like the Dog Whisperer--it didn't proclaim the ability to change difficult people, but simply how to cope with 'em. I tend to do more things quicker than others these days (I always had the ability but the need to re-prioritize really hits ya at fifty! )

Long story short?

I threw the book in the corner of the bathroom. It stayed there until my dog peed on it. (Um, I think it was 'Fred'.)

Love ya lovie. *hugs*

thanks for reading, all

Actually - "the serenity don't make me serene," was referring to my many "serene" hours and hours alone in this stupid house due to sciatica.  I am the farthest thing from serene you could find about now.  My temper I refer to as, sort of sitting on a keg of gun power with a lit candle, waiting for someone to just dare try and blow it out.

However, it is getting better, I actually walked two entire blocks today.  Not bad for someone who normally does at least 5k, 10k a day right?

I don't think I would read that book by the way, donate it. LOL  When you get older you learn you can never change the spots on a leopard, nope neva!

Love ya!

"Serenity" was always my goal and (no offense to anyone) a pretty ineffectual prayer.

Yowser--non magickal thinking!

I'm working on...just different. Not even discipline! I don't smoke in my sleep anymore.

Um.

Not that I know of...

Eric, nice to see that regaining sanity was not one of your new year resolutions!

Nice to see we can both kick into warped drive on occasion!

Way too much fun going on here without me. Is that Hamstir not shaken on the rocks? Okay, so that was really lame.  You pipples are just irresistable.

ms serene..one would wonder if it were a chicken eating the egg, would it taste like chicken then?  I know snake egges taste like salty snake..and salmon eggs are better with peanut butter..and hangnails don't have the metalic flavor of a 8 penny....will be glad when new years gets here (feb 3rd) so I can party like you guys.

Laughing....oh lawd.

"Eggs don't taste like chicken."

I read that from a reader in an Ask Marilyn column.

(Um, Marilyn's like this genius who answers questions for folks, and the genius was apparently stumped by that one.)

I thought it was funny so I stole it.

That's right, I'm no lowly chicken theif--just the eggs, thank you ma'am.

Oh, cluck me sideways!

Thanks for reading, and it sure is nice to have fewer eggs in our dates. Um.

This year we'll have one of those weird(er) dates--11.11.11.

I wonder if that will be like waking up at 3:33 every morning and wondering why thg heck I'm oprogramming my subconscious to wake up at 3:33.

So...I've declared 11.11.11. a personal holiday. I'm gonna stare at the calendar all day.

At this point I'm just typing anything...

ciao good pipple.
