when passion dies
thoughtless acts heaps upon amour
when passion dies
proof of love lost is in the eyes
everything's lost if love's not pure
to live lies is just to endure
when passion dies

Well, Jerry old friend, at least after having you here for a while I feel like we're old friends. Writing does that to people, you know, birds of a feather.

I really like this a lot because it's measuring your honesty and I can feel you being unabashedly open about it all.
Sometimes just a few words say so much...

"thoughtless acts heaps upon amour"

Love class 2011 now in session.

Good write Jerry

Thank you very much Eric, and yes, writing and reading and commenting does bring about friendships. I am grateful you found this to be to your taste.

My guess, true love needs passion to survive ... not confusing lust with passion of course

on the other hand ... what do I know?

Hahaha!! Poets, and writers of all kinds have been trying to figure out the love phenomena since time immortal. We don't know much more than they did then.

Thanks Rex for being here.

Spot on, Jerry!  "The the love phenomena" - Perhaps it's just how we perceive it to be and considering how many different outlooks and beliefs there are in this world of ours, it's not surprising that there hasn't been and nor will be a definitive description or explanation.

As Winston Churchill said, "It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma." although he was speaking of entirely a different matter the words ring true here also.
