Summer of '92

The summer of '92
My mom shipped me out
She sent me to Paris
But I had my doubt
I knew I would hate it
And want to come back
But it was only for summer
So I guess I could hack
I knocked on her door
She was my gram
Met her once or twice
This felt like a scam
She took me in
And showed me around
Gave me a hug
And then sat me down
She told me how excited
She was to see me
She had a big grin
Maybe
Just maybe
This will be okay
A couple days went by
And that's when we met
The man of my dreams
The man I must get
We started spending some days
Learning each other
Learning our ways
We fell in love
That summer of '92
But all too soon
I went back and we're through
My life went on
And I found someone new
My life healed itself
And I'm so much in love
We decided to get married
At the church of the dove
And then in my womb
I started to feel
We made a baby
Now this is real
Years went by
And it just got better
And then one day in the mail
I got a letter
It was sent secret
I don't know who wrote
It said they were coming
Wanted to see me they quote
I tossed it away
And thought oh well
About this letter
I will not dwell
My life is perfect
I need no more
Whoever it is
Go knock on another door
One day I was baking
And heard the bell
I sent in my little one
To open and tell
She called out my name
And said to come
So I walked to the door
Soon my heart starts to drum
For there in my doorway
Was the love of all loves
And right away I knew
There he stood
That boy
From the summer of '92

I walk in the clouds, I sing in the dust

A work that strikes me and rings true.  Reminds me of what I am going through.  Again I am told that experiences I have I do not have them alone.  Thankyou.
