Cranberry Red

Surely, the sweet of my tongue has left its fragrance
Moistening this envelope over wishes warm
Where I placed soft swells of snow in festive scenery
Just as lightly as the sift of winter falls upon a frosted window
The scent of a crowded kitchen, bakery air and stunning surprise
By background music of jostling pots, laughter lights the room
For now, parchment may prevail these wishes, so certain of their steadfast gleam
Simple, in their happiness and harmony all around you
So might the taste of my verse stay near you, blending smile with symmetry
Against the plain white wrapper, where I lay my heart
Then know, as surely as my fingers meet my mind, my wishes here be said
And last upon the ending line, is sealed with a kiss, cranberry red

a most pleasant seasonally impressionistic write ...

fine imagery ...

I especially love the line:

"The scent of a crowded kitchen, bakery air and stunning surprise..."

applause for this 'penning' !

Oh to dream of a kiss sealed as such.

You do know I am your #1 fan right?
