I Heard the Christmas Bells

The sky was deep, the air was cold,
An evening peaceful and still,
With each whisper, you saw your breath,
The twilight beckoned this season’s chill,

In the east above the horizon,
Tis heavens purest light,
This Christmas beacon that guided,
The Wiseman of old, that night,

Somewhere beyond the frozen bristle,
From the village on the hill,
With clarities voice it rang,
I heard the Christmas bells,

A simple quite ringing,
I knew it’s sound from old,
One pure and graceful peeling,
It’s blessings of the day foretold,

For it was on this day the Christ child,
Was born unto the world,
To save our souls and give us hope,
God’s banner t’was unfurled,

The chimes rang out, in honor,
Of the promises that were made,
I knelt, gave thanks, and listened,
To the bells on this Christmas day.

The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked.

Tracey my good friend, that is a beautiful
Christmas poem, I think one of your best.

A real delight to read. Happy Christmas to you and your family and your mum Billie.

Margherita,  Ya know,  Isn't it all about the memories,  The holidays always seam to bring out the best in people, and charity abounds,

May the bells of Christmas rekindle those memories for all of us this season,

Happy Holidays, to all

My dear son,  I just got around to my computer after about a month and found this wonderful poem.  I know one thing,  If I didn't do anything else, I raised my kids right.
Thank you,  thank you, you are such a blessing to me and I want the whole world to know how much I love you.

Oh and Billie?  Yes, you did raise him right.  You both are such a treat to read and share thoughts with.

Happy New Year.
