Life has been hard
Your very unappreciated
Been dealt the harsh card
Fighting to never become
Your parents- the very thing you hated

Your smile is crooked
Your eyes shine bright
Rough hands
And accents heavy

You are a mother.
Though you are young,
You've been one for long,
Though you are young,
Its sung the same song.

A beautiful son
With a unwanting father
A thankless job
Who asks that you only work harder

I am taller then you
You are older
I am stronger then you
You are smarter

I held you till you fell asleep
My hands stroking your hair
Your muscles aching and your eyes red
You've turned the couch into your bed

Your body was warm
And your breath sweet
But the daemons of the night
Call me to my feet

So here I sit, you but inches away.
Typing away
A spinning lyrical tale
Of a single mother
As if I could establish the intricate beauty
That is you.

"Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it."

"Hold faithfulness and sincerity as first principles."

-Confucius
