Silence

Silence is the empty prison
Of aloneness deep inside
Silence is to be surrounded
By friends and noise
So you can hide.

Silence is the feel of knowing
You will never find the way
To the light of understanding
As it passes by each day.

Silence is the void within you
A heart filled with lonely dread
Of the pain of your tomorrow,
Yet knowing you must raise your head ~

And go on, tho' each tomorrow
Will not change, and so I vow,
I shall go on through this silence
And live my life alone, somehow.

You share this silence in a captivating way, may it be interrupted with love and joy filled sounds!
