Sleep tight, bright eyed girl
because the morning missed you last night.
The earth yearned for your bare feet,
to kiss the moist-lipped grass with soft touch.

The stars cried and the moon was amber
for all they could do was watch as you slept.
The wind traced it's cool fingers
along ridges and valleys,
and I was jealous of that privilege.

Sleep tight, bright eyed girl,
the morning and I are waiting for you.

And I like the way that you wear these bad habits, Paul.

I am getting a glimpse of the moonlight shining on her face while she sleeps.
The look of love through the eyes of her beholder.  Steady breathing, cool sheets,
the silence in the wee hours before the sun rises in a pastel sky.

Very nice for a bad habit~~gotta get me some of that!!

Alaboohomeless... I'd like to take them off like a warm broken-in sweatshirt, and let other people wear them. I imagine that's what having a published book is like. Who knows.

ThisDiamond. I am glad you liked it. Really glad. Thanks for reading, darlin.
