"All You Asked For"

One thing only did you want
Or so you'd often say
Before you left us all behind
Before you passed away

A single wish is all you had
When others wished for more
Yet we've forgotten, so it seems
And gone from peace to war

And now we need your guidance most
Before we fall apart
We need your love, we need your voice
We need your touch, your heart

A family bound by trust and love
Once solid, sure, and strong
Now tears itself apart, it seems
Its great support is gone

In this, our time of greatest need
A cruel joke it seems
That you, our sure and guiding light,
Live only in our dreams

There is nothing I can say to help you   live through this pain.I am sure some one here will have seme good thoughts to share. In sharing these feelings you are helping yourself in a way. Keep on writing. Best to you, latearrival

memories are important, they are part of life too, and people live when we think of them I guess. Thanks for the touching poem.
