La route, it is the name of the girl
whom I can’t forget,
it is a smile in a supermarket
at the electricals department.

La route it is the time which we spend
listening to a child who lies to you,
it is the coffee that we drink
in a dark bar of Tennessee.

La route, it is the tears which do not exist
and which we know nevertheless,
it is the shaked hand of the Brazilian
who indicates you the way to Ipanema.

La route it is the time which we spend
listening to grandfather,
it is the woman in the penetrating glance
who invites you in her thoughts.

La route, it is you knowing me,
it is you who builds it on my verses,
on the words, on the independence of faces,
La route, it is the multitude of my liberties.

huh! An intriguing write, Yann, REALLY enjoyed it! La Route, is something I am pondering at the moment. I am planning a trip to Pakistan, trying to decide on the route, via Prague & Istanbul or Cairo or New Delhi/Mumbi... Interesting Yann, interesting indeed.

hello Brad, thanks for the comment, you will do a magnificent travel, I guess the south road by Cairo and Mumbai is more exotic, it is really awesome to do such a trip...
