Sophia's big brown eyes

Have you ever read a story that a pair of eyes have told,
Have you ever been made powerless by a child not one year old,
Did you ever miss a heartbeat, have your breath taken away
Or have just been left there standing, with nothing more to say

Have you ever been uplifted by a pretty little face
Thanked God for His creation and the wonders of His grace
Felt the joy in that laughter touch you deep down in your heart
And give you the reassurance, fill your every empty part

Felt eyes full of wonder, searching, as they hold you in their gaze
Asking question after question, find the way out of a maze
Seen a story being written, yet another being told
Yesterday being put away, learning today to behold

The love, the joy, the happiness, spoke of providence Divine
For all these thoughts and emotions filled my heart and my quizzed mind,
The notion I could get the gist, may be understand her pries
As I spent one fleeting moment in Sophia’s big brown eyes

Yes, you have a gift and I know a special child who has, with his huge smile and big blue eyes entranced many in his short time  here with family and all who have met him.
I will so enjoy watching him  grow to boyhood and beyond.  latearrival
