Blood & Flowers

How will I live without you?

On most days I will be fine,
for I was fine before I met you,
but at that time you were only
a figment of my imagination
and not yet the fuel for the fire
that feeds the depths of my desire.
Upon the day I met you,
my whole world changed,
for what was the woman of my dreams
became a living reality.
You were like a field full of flowers,
delighting my senses as you materialized
before the pleasure of my eyes,
revealing layer upon gracious layer
of luscious scents and bright colors,
providing blessings and offering tranquility
to the soothing of my soul.
Upon that day I knew that their
was a place on this earth
for ecstasy and love,
and that place is with you,
yes you my beautiful lover.
