(Hi everyone! Just wanted to provide y'all a holiday repost as y'all sooooooooo patiently await premiere poems from me to kick off the second quarter-century of my life to a flying start.

What I can promise y'all is that, if you thought my most recent new poems were intense, I'll be taking the next poems even further..........as there is sooooooooo much exciting sheet lightning and pyrotechnics bursting in my life right now. Today, in fact, I completed an intimate modeling photography shoot hosted by my good friend Torch that will complement my next offerings......depicting me at my most emotional, most personal, most primordial, core........depicting metaphorically my transformation this year, that will certainly make many raise their eyebrows and smile at the same time, LOL! In my next poems, like you began to see with "Primitive" and "talisMAN", I aspire to laugh as hard as I can without rupturing my vocal cords, scream as loudly as I can as though there's no tomorrow in rapture without coughing up my lungs, and hemorrhage my heart and soul as intensely and fervently without bleeding myself dry........writing like I'm Being, really! I'm ready to go all-in, to write just as fearlessly as I love to live now!

Until then, here's a resplendent reminder of how it's the thought that counts most of all in giving this Christmas season! Have a happy holiday season, y'all! )

Poinsettia

There's a little Mexican girl up at the alter,
on Christmas Eve, staring into the manger,
where Christ is born, where the north star glistens,
where all the townspeople are dedicating their service.

Sadness fills her eyes, rather than cheer,
you see she's poor, and she's filled with fear,
that her humble gift would be embarrassing,
what can I give that'd be worthy of His blessing?

Then she remembers the words her cousin told her,
fear not, my friend, please do not cry,
"Even the most humble gift, if given in love,
will be acceptable in His eyes."
.
.
.
She fought back her tears, headed out of the chapel,
went into the fields to see what might have unraveled,
deep in a ditch, she picked a handful of weeds,
arranged them in a bouquet in honor of His nativity

Looking at them in her hand, she felt powerless,
why would He accept such an offering like this?
She returns to the chapel with mud on her feet,
dirt on her hands and tears falling down her cheeks

Then she remembers the words her cousin told her,
fear not, my friend, please do not cry.
"Even the most humble gift, if given in love,
will be acceptable in His eyes."
.
.
.
She knelt to lay her gift right next to the scene,
all at once, flowers begin to bloom on the weeds,
blooms of scarlet, witnessed right before the people,
without doubt believing they have just seen a miracle.

You see, my friend, any gift that may seem mundane,
if given from love up above will always be praised,
a simple beating of the heart that a loved one can feel,
is that most precious gift that couldn't be any more real

Remembers these words that I share with you,
fear not, my friend, love doesn't come with a price.
"Even the most humble gift, if given in love,
will be acceptable in His eyes."

You're Poinsettia,
you're a flower of the evening,
you're the simple gift,
that just keeps on giving...
.
.
.
"Even the most humble gift, if given in love,
will be acceptable in His eyes."
.
.
.
