It's been a week since the betrayal
there are no tears
no heartbreak
just thoughts of what might have been

no verse flows
the rhythm is gone
the rhyme is fleeting
and the reasons are
the reasons are...
the reason is

not evident
unspoken
silence is all I feed upon

potential rebound actions
are losing their lustre

the urge to make her
the girl that sent a man
halfway 'round the world

seems...

seems poetic

but dumb

The Earth is a big shiny place again
go anywhere, just point on the globe
destination unknown, ready to launch
and nothing seems appealing

but what might have been

Thoughtful and affecting, like a memory of my own.  Very well written.

Oh boy, you've expressed the hurt and forlorn feeling so well,
and have such a great style of writing about you.
