About a Boy I Could Not Know My best friend was Who caused me this He must not have known He must have missed He saw a betrayal He saw me and saw lies He pretended to care He caused me these cries His friend came over He helped him conceive They held me down He helped him achieve The next morning I went to his room I knocked on the door And soon found his doom He hung himself For what he has done But now in this world I brought his friend's son I laid in that bed On that sad day To watch him be taken Taken away I was told not to tell Pretend it's not real And to this day His name I conceal I often think About this young boy Would it be sad Or would it bring joy I set out to find him One day in the past His father said not now This is too fast So I moved out west And started a new For that one boy I never knew I walk in the clouds, I sing in the dust |
