"Reminiscence"

The past is crying, more persistent
Begging me to reminisce
It's far-too-soothing voice insistent
Promising relief and bliss

But though my heart is broken, bleeding
Never shall I drift away
In reminiscent dreams misleading
From a best-forgotten day
