In His Clothes

I feel his embrace around me,
cloaking me with his tenderness.
About me, about my frame
his scent drapes upon my skin.

How many days, has it been
that his essence stayed upon
the garment of commonplace.
It surrounds me now.

Closer, the seams draw me in,
holding me tightly in spiritual
union, giving, taking, transitory
thoughts of commune.

His breathing, rising up and down
under the garment cast upon
my hearth, Two souls, connected
upon commonality, buy a few threads.

Holes in the pockets,
warm memories of
trinkets lost, but found
in the wonderment of their remembrance.

Touching me, like his touch.
sure and strong, but soft and
gentile, weave upon my soul
my bond, my heart, my love.

In his clothes, I walk the miles
with him. Miles away.
His essence,upon me
mingling with my own heaven scent.

Only to know, he is with me
silently cast about me.
Thread upon thread, seams
covering my comforted soul.
