is it mine?

I pooled everything I had become
everything I had done
so far
with the life I'd received.
Pooled it together
it fit in my two cupped hands.
it was thick
like used motor oil,
but it wasn't black or brown.
it was all of those things,
not to mention blue.

is it mine?

I thought to myself
man, I sure hope this stuff is good for trees
because it can't be much good for much else
maybe mix it in with mulch and start a mulch company
I'll call it "much mulch"
and open a branch in Mexico and call it "mucho mulch"
I'll give it away for free
they'll love me there, for making the crops grow right
the little bit of good I've done
all thanks to mucho mulch,
somebody is bound to love me there.
