The morning mist touched my face.
Iced sweet tea satisfied my taste.
Softly you walked behind me on the porch swing.
And placed a sweet kiss upon my face.

These are the moments that I treasure.
There's nothing else on this earth that can measure.
You are the rare diamond of my world.
My creme of soda and ice cream swirl.

And do you put these sweet and love filled messages under her pillow at night, or next to her tea cup in the morning?

Very lovely!

Love,

Such a gentle and loving sweetness, Lamar. Fine and beautiful work here.

I stumble over the softness sometimes in poetry like this, not because it needs anything, but because it reaches into a smile without words for the gentler moments in life that would mean so much less with no one to share them.

If only that kiss had been placed upon your neck.
