Mothers mean well
it seems I've lost control
why then the setup for disappointment

I was content to lay back and wait
but no, mother means well
what is her plan?

told me to ask the girl
and do it fast
ask her to the symphony

just a few days away
and timing timing
seems beyond my control

I was content to stay quiet
play the waiting game
but fate fate

is a meddling date

the girl sends no reply
not surprised am I
but then the girl

is ought for delays
communication
perhaps snoozing

perhaps a meddling guest
that prefers to delete
my texts

who knows
or why
mothers mean well

but why?

Dear Brad, yes Mothers mean well. It must mean that she likes the girl you are in love with ... anyway I guess it is better to open our hearts and to know the reaction by the "object of our dreams", rather than dreaming along leaving things as they are. Of course anticipation is connected with sweet feelings, but if they stretch indefinitely they won't carry any fruits.

So ,,, mothers mean well, yes!

Nice peek into your feelings.

Love,
Margherita

I'm not in love with the girl, I care for her a lot, but love is a two way street. Yes you're right, though, thank you for the comment. You are right on point, as usual.
