There it goes fading forever
into the dusky dream
Did you catch a glimpse?
Was it anything like you hoped to be?

Staring absently
blinded by your onerous doubt
Never bothering to reassess
just what it's all about

Evanescing again
in the sacred slumbering silence
Smoldering within
from the virulent virus violence

You beseech the blue
for sanity and salvation
Consumed by the fire
for more sinful sensation

Mangled soul rapt in epic struggle
to retain humanity
Wicked windigos saturating
the mind with misanthropy

Further losing touch with ego/self
fragmenting into madness
Dawns glow shimmering through
your mourning teardrop sadness

Despite the dread digesting
your psychic remains
A plastic placidity
upon your face sustains

Forever frozen in a catatonic
phantasmagoria
You found serenity in this schizophrenic
euphoria

At last at liberty
to embrace
Elysium
