I wrapped my
thoughts in a cocoon
of pillow soft and silver moon
who through my open window came
and called me out, called me by name
with peaceful words like rays that shine
from somewhere called the most divine
that took my heart as lips touched mine
and soothed my soul like pure red wine
that dripping down from off my chin
left crimson streaks upon my skin
until the crystal hit the floor
and then I heard the
voice no more

Dreamy, smooth, and eloquent. Absolutely divine. Perhaps another glass of wine is in order this night.

Sweet dreams, dear Bob!

Bob...pure moon magic gives me thoughts when read, of the love Marge also had for the moon shaped poems in her head.  Lovely!

Now that is what I call a harvest moon, and you catch the romance and the poignance all at once in a beautiful form poem.  I am missing the soft warm days of summer, but you weave soft warm moments of perfection on a November evening.  Lovely lines to sigh by.

Linda,

Thank you for your kind commendations and your sweet dreams wish and I do think you’re probably right about that one more glass … zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz … Smiles.

Margherita,

Ah, thank you, thank you sooooo very, very much for your kind words. It’s always a thrill for me to read that my poems have been like a good wine that delights and is worth the savoring. Thank you.

Arctic Wind,

Well, now, seems to me that you, of all people, you should know a bit about both of these, what’s magical and what makes a good  presentation seeing that you are, well, you are the Arctic Wind. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

Sharon,

It’s always such a ‘wonderful’ pleasure to hear from you and, regarding your comment, I know what you mean, of all people, who would have guessed? Me! WoW! Smiles! Big, Big Pats on my own back. Thank you, thank you, my dear poetess friend, thank you for complimenting my artwork as well as my craft. Thank you!

Alison

Well, then, I suppose that kind of makes me a poetic magician!  Maybe??? Anyway, I love that image! Thank you!

Martie,

Yes, you are absolutely correct in your thinking in that she still does have a great influence upon the style of poetry that I write and, especially, moon shaped poetry and, yes, the first ‘shape’ type poem that I wrote actually came about because of a kind of duel challenge by both Marge (White Feather) and Mark Bohannan. Anyway, I’m very, very honored that my poem enlightened you with magical Marge thoughts. Thank you.

Suthern,

Why thank you lovely lady!  Thank you!

Dixie,

It’s always my great pleasure whenever I hear from you and, wow, what an honor to boot to have my poem added to your library. Thank you very, very much and, of course, I love ya and love ya back and, as always, God bless.

KL,

Awe, I’m sorry that you’re missing the warm days of summer and, I have to say, my itchy skin, aching joints, scratchy throat, and sniffles, etc. etc. really do miss them too, but, anyway, I am glad, I am, that you enjoyed the poem that I wrote and, well, expounding as I am and with further consideration that, in my reality, the wine is much more warming than is the moon, I’ am really, really glad that I chose the romantic and the poignant subject that you complimented. Anyways, so you know, I do much appreciate and I do thank you a bunch for your warm words and your kind and lovely sighs. Thank you.

Lamar Cole,

… and you, you are very kind. Thank you!

Ken,

It’s always a great tribute to my writing whenever someone writes that they’ve experienced my poetry. Thank you for that! Thank you!

Midnitesun,

Why thank you! I’m happy that you found my ‘night whispers’ presentation beautiful. Thank you.

Lindsay,

Thank you! I’m pleased that you delighted in my craft and, also, thank you for calling my poem magic and for believing that from where this poem was inspired could possibly be as well. Thank you!

As Always, Thank you's and God blesses to ALL!

-Bob

Bill Charles,

A little swig and some swing might be a good thing! Could be??? And, so you know, most of the time, I do try to use meter when I write and, well, sometimes it works and sometimes it don’t, but, anyway, I’m glad this one seemed to work out OK and that you liked the musicality of it. Thank you.

Goldenrose,

You are very Welcome and Thank You for your acute observations and kind compliment.
