Thinking

Used to think if you
treated a woman wrong
you'd lose her for sure
and if you treated
her right, her heart
would always be yours.

Now that I've
lost both kinds
I'm not so sure.

I'm always intrigued by your "thinking".

Well, m'dear Hawaii Man, to my way of thinking, you might as well treat a woman right! Then it's her fault if she leaves! ~ Not yours!

Love 'n hugs,

Linda

Treating her wrong is never the choice, but it happens. If she is the forgiving kind of woman the bond can be saved.

You don't seem to me the man who would ever hurt a woman you love.

"Rejection series" ... that does happen too, learning to cope with it is very wise and necessary too.

I appreciated your thinking!

Love,
Margherita

Thanks for sharing your deep feelings as this to me is the best kind of poetry. Straight from the heart is where it comes from. Thanks for the read.

James Michael - Perhaps knowing the result of both scenarios puts one in a unique position to judge which behaviors worked and which ones should have worked. We tend to look outside for the answers instead of inside where they might also be. There is a depth of thinking demanded by this short yet powerful piece. Thanks JM for writing it. Namyh

Nice. Depressing, but too true. No one can ever win.

Very recognizable James,

As you write about the experience of losing in both scenarios, I wonder what your thoughts are on a scenario in which the woman chooses to stay, even though she was treated badly?
