Clinging desperately to hope
To the joy that once filled my heart
Watching, in disbelief as we are
Increasingly torn apart

Aching to go back, to those
Awesome times we shared
Longing to stop the inevitable
Wondering, can this be repaired?

Loving you has changed me
In ways I’d never dreamed
Yet still there is so much
That simply cannot be redeemed

I wish that I could see you again
And be held in your embrace
I long to nuzzle into you
As you kiss my tear stained face

My heart, it just won’t let you go
And my soul cries the tears I hide
As every day we draw it out
Neither one of us willing to decide

You should go back as love is forever tested and tried. Steadfastness is needed to make it last. My Honey and I just had our 40th anniversary though we dated 5 years before that! Thanks for the excellent read. Good job here.

Very poignant. It is not inevitable, as long as there is this deep consciousness of love that you display here in your lovely words.

We change in time and the way we demonstrate our love changes too ... love is nurtured by love, the fruits may taste differently, but still they are sweet.

Good luck.

Love,
Margherita

Eirian, it's been awhile! It appears that you have been experiencing some emotional highs and lows while you have been away from the pip family fold.

May you be loved as deeply and as passionately as you love. You deserve nothing less.

Love 'n a hug,
Linda

Thank you, I have experienced a few highs and lows - the joys of a long distance relationship lol but I am glad to be back here again
