You wonder how I care but still have to cut you loose You mean the world to me like none other ever has I do not have an answer and cannot come up with an excuse Your wide smile- so full of life and pizazz I'll let you know in the only way I know how A pen on the paper producing curved lines You do not even know I write poetry I guess you do now I cannot help the person who love assigns I woke up this morning and realized something was not right My moods have been swinging and you have become depressed For the past month we have done nothing but fight Life without you would shove me into cardiac arrest I know that it is hard, believe me I see I do not want you to think the past was a game Picked out ring at Jared's, but this cannot be Hurting you was never my aim Doing this now is better than leading you on I have no other way to do this than just walk away I know its dark right now but soon it will be dawn Maybe you will understand ... maybe... someday The cold metal you once placed around my wrists is now tight around my heart and soul- tug... the truth in my heart insists! Great poem but a sad ending?? In forth stanza change line three only if you like, to read: Picked out ring at Jared's, but this cannot be That will round up the rhyme scheme. AL AL Inmon |
