At death’s door
The machine of mind’s last attempt
At designing a new form of the search
A kaleidoscope of patterns, patterning
Synapsed onto the shadow world
Fractals of light tunneled
Through skeletal remains
Of illusory impulses

Brain flickers gone
Reloaded on the other side
With persistent gross urges
Still requiring expression in realms of never
The all-pervading Giver
Forgotten in the process
Left hanging on burnt-out matchsticks
Snuffed out by the winds of false desire

Before death, mind
After death, illusory impulses
Smoke and mirrors from the Vegas trickster
Who likes to pull shrouds from her plastic thumb
The uninvited guest at the wedding
A vicious cycle of re-incarnated shapes
Bouncing off mirrored crystals
Of multi-dimensional existence
Reflecting, as it were
The enchanting mirrored-lake of Narcissus

Aye, death is the ultimate revilement
To the ego, that constant activity
Of damning the free-flowing waters
Of love’s eternal silence
Close-fisted, gasping for one last breath

It doesn’t have to end this way

Loved these lines among other gems in this piece.

No it definitely doesn't have to end this way, and perhaps it never ends?

Interesting take on the theme, dear Kosmic888!
You display excellent writing skills.

We have our beliefs and we all try to know what will happen "at Death's door". No more dualism, love will surround and fill us. Soul is the keyword probably ...

No, it need not end that way!

Love,
Margherita

Mysteria, Margherita, again thanks for reviewing my work, I appreciate it. I also love the comments you made, it shows me how individually wonderful we all are. The one and only thing we have in common is that we are shaped and made of Light Supreme. You in fact are my sisters/brothers, whatever the case may be, therefore, I stand in Love with you - Peace Ron
