Fair to middlin' of nowhere

My heart keeps
What my lips fear to speak of it
I would share
My blessed joy
With you
I would make the gifts
Upon my soul
Gifts to yours
Even as I long for this
I grieve
With my fear
That the truth be told
Would be heard
Like madness
To ears who’s
Day had not yet dawned
And they were not awake

What a wonderfully haunting and longing piece of work, Lori. But then I expected that as soon as I saw your name.  Nicely crafted.
Best regards

Refreshing wit you have in prose. Thanks for the good read and warm words.
