we clothed ourselves with conversations
thinly covered in a film of dusty heat
with no want of anyone to come along with feathers
sweeping everything clean

you laid there and talked to me about dreams and things
I used my hands to picture them all over you
you tasted like soft white
and felt like soft white
but I said man alive you're tan
between breaths you breathed out a laugh
I breathed it in because it was so much better than air

and it breathed like soft white.

Wow, Paul, another striking bad habit poem! The idea of breathing in the laughter is fantastic!

Okay.  That was so good - that is it officially ridiculous!  Just beautiful.

slowlyfallaway... I like that you love this kind of thing.

Aenea, thank you. Glad you continue to read my junk in the trunk. You flatter me. But seriously, I've got junk in the trunk.

I like the soft white of conversation that you share with us.  Thank you, poet friend, for sharing.
