What he's saying
This is what I never understood
He contradicts what he does not condone
Clashing words in black and white
And now that I've had all I can stand
I lie down with a broken heart
Consuming all my time and energy
In the act of deception
Until my eyes show less emotion
Than a porcelain doll collection

Beautiful and fragile piece of poetry, Emily:  as delicate as the doll of the title.  Fine and poignant writing.

I collect porceline dolls, and I can certainly see where the perception of lifelessness(is that a word?) comes from. A touching piece, to be sure.

Goddess grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.
