i locked the gates
and supposing it safe
retreated
convincingly veiled inside
though in retrospect it might not have been wisest thing to do…
you know…
to let impetuosity throw the key
for its started to rain
and i am ankle
deep

What a singularly haunting and fascinating piece you have written!  Just this one snip of time, captured, and leaving us crying out for more.  What happens next?  What happened before?
More! More!  Bring it on.

Y'know, honey? You do have a thing
about gates...and I'm glad to see
you've opened them back up.

Hugging you.
