The cancer is eating away at you
But it's eating away at me, too
Because I watch how it weakens you
And I hate that I can not help you

We are strong together, it's true
But are we stronger than the cancer that is eating away at you?

They say that they can cure it because it's only stage two
But what would happen if it suddenly metastesised and grew?
Would they still be able to save you?
Would I have to stand helplessly by while they test and irradiate you?

We are strong together, it's true
But are we stronger than the cancer that is eating away at you?

When the time comes, will I be good enough to care for you?
Will I be strong enough to be there for you?
Are you sure you're strong enough to make it through?
Are you sure I'm all you need to be there for you?

We are strong together, it's true
But are we stronger than the cancer that is eating away at you?

Goddess grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

You're stronger than you know... and will hopefully find strength for whatever you face... I'm wishing the best for both of you!

Rachael, m'dear the "What if's" in life can make difficult times that much more difficult to handle. It is akin to borrowing troubles from the future. However, I most assuredly understand how we can get caught up with those darn "What ifs"!

Together, the two of you will deal with come what may. I do believe that the doctors when they feel her prognosis is far better since they caught her cancer in stage 2 and not at a more advanced stage. My prayers will continue for her ~ and for you.

Love & healing hugs,
Linda

Thank you all for this incredible outpouring of support. We keep having to switch who's being strong for whom, but deep down we know we'll make it. As far as the what ifs. Well, it's like my mother told me "What if the sky falls down and your nose falls off? Sure, you won't be able to smell, but the world will be over." LOL. Anyway. I am truly touched and amazed at all the support I'm getting here at PiP through this difficult time. Thank you again.

My father is a cancer survivor.
Some days my father was the one who had to give us the peptalk. This has been a period in which I came to appreciate my parents the most. My mother's love and patience and my father's complete trust in her.

Keep believing!

Hello Rachael, this is painful and not to be alone is important, very important, share the time day by day, don't think too much of the future if you can.

Thanks for sharing.

Cancer is a plague and in time God promises to do away with all illnesses. Hang in there my friend. My wife is at stage 3 on Chemo and we are fighting it together.

Dear Rachael, this is very touching. It isn't easy to cope with this type of challenge, but with a strong bond of love and a big amount of trust in healing you will win the battle.

Love,
Margherita
