Today I have a hangover
Sensitive to light and sound
I feel like a vampire
Wishing I could sleep away the day underground

Liquor, that harsh, selfish lover
Is something I'll try not to pound
With such a vehement vigor
As to make me thank the Goddess for coffee that's ground

Of course I say this every hangover
And in my mind the seed never takes ground
So until next time evil lover
I'lll keep my mind for now quite sound

Goddess grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

sure know what you're talking about here!

Why do we do it to ourselves?

It happened to my son when he was very young a couple of times and it has rendered him wiser from then on ...

Very powerfully expressed, dear Rachael, I guess after Halloween many can relate.

Love,

Nice, Rachael.  Been there, done that, and even, sad to say, wear the Irish Whisky T-shirt on occasion.  I hope the pain lessens with the sharing.
Go well
Jim

Yeah, been there.  The seed took root for me after 3 Long Island Teas & a rather ungraceful dance atop a table.  There are pictures out there somewhere...

Mr. Smirnoff has uprooted mine. Fun times while they last.
