Bullet proof

So here it goes…
It’s just you and me …in an empty street ..
You and me .. here we finally meet ..
No trench ..no guards..no concrete walls ..
Look around..there’s no glass shattered on the ground ..
Come close..put your rifle aside..
I don’t wanna run this time ..
Now I don’t want to hide ..

Hey you..you’re that  sniper on the roof..
Take your best shot ..I’m your aim
Lay your red dot on my grooves..
I am calm..you can not cause me harm..
I’m your solid bullet proof..

I’m not afraid ….feeling safe ..
Acting like a bald ..a brave ..
Standing tall ..face to face ..
Free at last ..I own this place ..

It’s not home ..
Our frieds may disagree ..
And there’s a chance we’re alone
But it’s time to reject..
To point out what is wrong ..
It’s the time to stand out ..
face the crowd  ..and being strong ..

shoot my car..shoot my soul
shoot my body I won’t fall..
got the force ..I got control ..

for that I’m in love with  a man..
worths to do all I can ..
worths to hang in till the end..
to fake a smile and pretend ..
fake the fact I’m falling down
bleeding since you left this town
waiting for your coming back ..

so I’ll be tough ..I’ll hold on
if not with you then I ‘d rather be alone
yes I ‘d rather be alone

so hey you ..all you snipers on the roof
take your aim ..
I’m your aim ..
I’m your solid bullet proof .

Welcome to Passions, please check your email for a group welcome from us all here.

I can't imagine living in this fear each day, and although you wrote it well, I wish you didn't have to write it at all.

Thank you for writing this, it's a point of view that needs to be expressed.

Welcome to Passions, I hope you will post more!

First of all, welcome to PiP! While I love the realism and imagery of this piece, it does bring to the forefront of one's mind that exact realism. That we are a world at war, and that war is very real, even though from a distance it may seem like it's not happening. We should all keep this war and those who fight in it in our hearts and minds, and begin working harder than we ever have before to stop it.

Goddess grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

thanx midnitesun , martinia , rachel i appreciate all your comments , as for Rachel i'm glad you understood the 2 aspects of the poem the realism and the imagination at the same time , the realism of war i'm living with and the imaging my own street being peaceful at last like the war is over and it's possible to be with the one I love and being a bullet proof ofcoarse all of that didn't happen , might never will .

As-Salamu Alaikum, Zainab.  You have poignantly captured the strength required to live under such daily conditions. My wish is that one day soon, you and your countrymen and women may walk in peace, in'shallah.
Welcome to Passions.
