She calls me to bed, my muse
invisible
it's one o'clock and time to be fed

whispers, secrets, things only dictated in books
to her, for her, from her

He looks...

and He, yes I, do sit in my chair
the winged back
singed back
lean back affair

"The movie's not over, my love"
"There's more story to build"
"of the writer, the diviner"
"healing sisters and guild"

no word did she speak
but the springs of the bed
did creak

and seep
and sleep

s
a
y

my eyes grow weary
and

d p
r o
o

"my love, I am coming"

I
hear,

"I'm waiting for you"

well, she must've left or had fallen asleep

for when my head hit the pillow
no words
did I reap
