Words tossed like a game of catch
who will be the one to drop the ball.

Don't you remember the endless nights
where morning felt like folk lore
only to come
once ever after had been said.

Those nights were filled with fireflies
dancing and playing with our tension
dancing between the sparks
electrical currants beneath our skin

There were always words under tongue
waiting to be explored
on those nights that lasted for years
we always laid on the greenest grass
under the darkest skies
nothing less
nothing more

Very feeling poem, Exhale.  Great images and wordcraft.  I liked, especially, "...the endless nights where morning felt like folk lore..."
Thank you.

The poem is great, has a nice feel to it. Also I miss watching the dark skies and laying on the greenest grass.
