my muse is missing
for the moment

all is vapor
to the dry gale

the heart settled
in its quiet space

while the moon
hides

passion
for the prose

comfortable
comfortable

the silent ride
between ebb and flow

Even gone the Muse still inspires.

Beautifully captured.

martiniat8.  You lied about the Muse being gone.  Nice piece of work that all poets can identify with.  Just a quiet word from the Grammar Nazi within:  "it's" is always a contraction of "it is" and the word "its" is possessive of "it".  I wrote it's for years until a very kind person gently corrected me, and caused me embarrassment that lasted years.
Many thanks,
Jim

martiniat8-maybe your muse isn't missing...she is just waiting for you to call to her rather than just taking for granted she'll show up eventually....~L

Though quieted, the inspiration calls note to gift of pen and pulse.  Muse speaks.
