Fair to middlin' of nowhere

He sleeps on the couch
softly snoring
She moves his legs
so she can sit
He opens a bloodshot eye
and groans
She gives his rump
a reminding pat
He huffs and adjusts
his compromised position
She unfolds a quilt
and tucks it around them
He sighs
and gently wags his tail

I love this poem, Lori.  What a pleasant surprise!  Thank you so much.

they cut mine off (tail) when I was just a pup...left my ears alone though...always thought of myself as quite lithe, as far as a great dane and doxie can be that is..

enjoyed your capture

That is exactly why I got a smaller dog this time   That was so cute, and probably every pet owner has had this experience.  Even my wee one tries.

I love this and am not letting my Stuart dog read it.  He might use it against me.
