it is now,  the sorrows of night are but residue
and my leather weeps of the gypsy mist
it is now she is a dance at brim of glances
with her leaves she tells of my secret dreams

I no longer feel her words at my heart ends
she has bared her back to the sunder man's blade
and frolicked wanton against his knivery
she has been the willow that wept her saliva

in the valley of the walking men she was a vixen
that leaned her limbs across their thigh skins
and touched them deeper then their souls thought
she was the hollow sound of moans in the night

as she danced her branches against eve and wind

When I read the poem I went two ways-one was mother nature and the other was a woman with sexual freeedom  (or a wanton woman). What a striking image. Did you make the picture?

Wow! What a discovery I just made!

quote:
and touched them deeper than their souls thought
she was the hollow sound of moans in the night

as she danced her branches against eve and wind

Awesome!

Excellent photo to go with this poem. You should add more photos into your posting! It shows that you have a talent for picking them.

Very beautiful, visually and aurally. Extremely skilled, but the skill is an undercurrent to the message.
Thanks,
Cal

Whoa I'm blown away with this piece. Bravo Sir. The last stanza is my favorite.

Beautiful work here, DS. Another perfect exemplar of your art.  Thank you.
