i'll shellac the moon
the stars!
anything from mars to soup
the youth
the burden
i'll shellac the sudden urge
the forgotten cause
the calendars and thunder
i'll shellac all that I wish to be
instanbul
dom delouise
a bundle of balloons tied to a boy
i'll shellac commas and apostrophes
linguini and llamas
i'll shellac all that I can't stand
the georgey bush
the bushy bear
everything from france to japan
i'll shellac cookies and criminals
chimneys and beards
the last boat
the first pope
a group of friends on a stoop
i'll shellac love
hate
that basket of fruit
that thicket of tea
i'll say to the man with
plums in his hand
"those plums need a shellacking
those plums are too dull"
i'll shellac the midtown tunnel
the man in the booth
the governor
the undertaker
the tombs of Uganda
i'll shellac the pastries
the bread
the man standing on his head
i'll shellac east & west
and the rest I'll save
i'll save the south for a rainy day
and the north for easter
i'll shellac the tinsel
the lightning
the frightened boy who fears a shellacking
the hollandaise sauce
the brunch campaign
i'll shellac eggs benedict
and baby mimosas
the waiter the mussels
i'll shellac rupunzle and ducks
the king and the queen
tristan tzara and his dada regime
i'll shellac the castles of germany
the sistine chapel
i'll shellac all of god's apples
and plastic bananas
i'll shellac montana
and parts of ohio
my dreams for a new rio
i'll shellac anything in sight
anything that breathes
i'll shellac shampoo
the soap
the hope for world peace
the geese in mid-flight
the rice in her hair
the groom the doom
the honeymoon suite
i'll shellac me
or you
the trees in her yard
the trampoline man who can't stand his ground
i'll shellac all sounds and some songs
from zippp to hey jude
paul simon's underwear
prince charles' falafel
i'll shellac this one's coffee
that one's toast
the frozen waffles and peas
i'll shellac the bible
the koran
men without hats
men without arms
men with european coats without any sleeves
i'll shellac steve
carl
peter paul and mary
the captain's chair
the sailor's tooth
the chicken coupe broom
the sun the moon the buns the prunes
i'll shellac the misunderstood
karl marx steve mcqueen
harpo marx
marco polo and polio vaccines
winston Churchill
the fool on the hill
winston churchill
he needs two coats
i'll shellac the shellac
and wonder why

werd,
I've been following your posts, welcome to passions. Curious, these images you choose to preserve. Stone, elementals, different prospects, just me.

Interesting and entertaining. Reminded me of Silverstein.

But then, on re-reading, you could be from a dozen more countries (the georgey bush - along with so many other examples of stream of conscious and humorous word play and rhyme - had me giggling delightedly), or you could be from none of them at all - or all of them, or some of them, the ever-enigmatic Andrew.  With that all-inclusive selection, I have to be right about one of the options!

Oops! I wonder what happened to my first post.  I will try to reconstruct it.  I said something about this being a delightfully vibrant explosion of life - and that you had me shellaccing shellaccy shellacs with gusto and that I wondered if you came from France (Tristan Tzara and dadaism) or Scotland (Andrew) or England (On Ilka Moor Ba'at At).

Thanks Owl. Glad you picked up on my jumbled name. I'm very much schooled in the unschool of this that Dada. Tzara is my homey  : )

grapenuts too
