I was hungry i cried,
She was there to feed me
I was cold i cried,
She was there to warm me
I was alone i cried
She was there to comfort me
I was hated i cried
She was there to love me
I had pain i cried
She was there to pacify me
I was lost i cried
She was there to guide me
I was wronged, i cried
She was there to back me
I've lost her now, i cry
And none out there can console me

hafrock,
A mothers place can never be taken by any other...
But all of us here are family...
We will all be here to help you out...
We are all there for you...
To console you and listen to you...
You're not alone...
I know how it feels to lose someone you love...
But then she would want you to be happy...
The first step is to open up...
And that you have done...

These dark hours will all pass on...
Stay strong...
condolences...

Priyanka

P.S you've written well...to put thoughts into words

P.S.S mail me if you feel like sharing anything...

Take care...

Hafrock,

Welcome to Passions! The loss of any parent is very frustrating, very disturbing, and only our best memories sustain us over time.

I look forward to reading more from you.

Again, Welcome, and check your email
for a Very Special Greeting!

This poem is well done.  It's so true there is no one who can take the place of a mother.

In God we trust and one nation under God

The love of her child is the most precious thing a mother can recieve. To have a child that sees a mother's precious love in her "daily routine" of mothering  is blessed. I enjoyed your plain spoken truth.  Even in your sorrow, remember you are still a source of great joy.  Look forward to more from you.
If I might be so bold as to ask....what is the other haf?

I teared up at the end of the poem. Mothers mean so much and the loss of a mother is a terrible thing to go through.

I wanted to ask why you chose to use smaller case 'i' in the poem. Was this intentional and a means of accentuating how much your mother means? I find the choice interesting.
