"Missing" Thoughts I live each day without her now. Recorded in my mind are the secrets that we shared with each before that awful find. It's a birthday month for her and him. October's harvest thoughts remind me as I stand before of the values we've been taught. As sisters, both inside and out I catch herself in me when morning mirrored eyes stare back and she is all I see. I drive her car, presented now since he has passed on, too. And every time I find myself remembering anew All the fun we had back then, the laughter and the tears, when thinking of our childhood days to hide our future fears... So strong she was until the last. And me, well holding on. Today I'm thinking "missing" thoughts since both of them are gone. All that's left are memories, those pictures in my mind. And as I drive along life's road I think of them in kind. M |
