the palm trees pale
without sun

the ocean swells
and sweeps her tides

washing beaches

where toe prints
echo in the sand

and shells surface
from salty
depths

and briny reaches

gulls hover
up the shore

a lone sailboat
drifts

sky meets water,
blue on blue
horizon

edge of the world

where God lives

.

I sense 'aloneness' ~ but not loneliness with this simply stated piece of silence and serenity.

~ Has a Zen feel to it, ss.

Love ya!

it was my peaceful scene ~rolls eyes~ during labor  lol

I was reminiscing about this trip with a friend and while describing the blue on blue I remembered at the time thinking that God must live on that horizon.

thanks, linda

Yep, you describe Florida perfectly

Actually, I understand the meaning completely. Some things and places are so perfect one must feel that there was a divine touch involved in it's creation and it could indeed be called heaven...You say it very nicely....

I am partial to the Carolina coasts, North and South...they are the only ones I have ever visited!

I haven't been in years, and your words ache me for it. You are a treasure, as always.
