September is the in-between
Of fall delights and summer green
Behind my thoughts are eyes that wait
To march right through October’s gate

The sky is clear with “autumness”
September cool, October crisp
The geese are poised on nearby ponds
By fields of cinnamon and bronze

The voices sing in chilling winds
Of purple mums and scarlet limbs
Would that September’s piercing cold
Were sculptured in October’s mold

I long to be in October's sweet embrace myself Liz.
Can't wait...3 more days.

Loved reading this.
