With Gratitude
by Linda L. Dowd

As sun peeked out from edge of sky,
Gold rays of light danced on the lawn
~ Beneath a sky of cloudless blue.

I looked towards an ancient yew
And there I spied a spotted fawn
~ Upon spring grass on knoll up high.

A meadowlark came winging by
~ A welcomed sight with waking dawn.
I was at peace with all in view.

Each morn, a day begins anew.
Upon clean slate, each choice is drawn.
~ And dare to dream with hopes held high.

Enjoy each day in God’s embrace
~ With gratitude and loving grace.

Brown-eyed Beauty ~

Hey, shel! I was in my P.J.'s as well, when you were writing your reply! We should have had a pyjama party!

Good night! ~ Ooops! It's now morning! Good morning! May you day be as sweet as you are!

I'm pleased you liked my poem enough to tuck it into your pj pocket.

Love and hugs, Linda.

A beautiful poem for the beauty of new beginnings.

'Wailing voices on the wind, urging me to turn. Distant tortured screams. Cold blue fires burn'.

Margherita ~

Top o' the day to you, my dear Dolphina!
My poem will be residing in a divine resting place once you tuck it into your heart! I'm very pleased that you appreciated what I had to say in this poem. I know that you feel that way as well!

Enjoy your day!

Ida ~

I would enjoy having a morning like that with you! We could have a nice little chit chat over a pot on tea on my deck and take in the splendour of nature!

EXQUISITLY BEAUTIFUL
You are teaching us new tricks
( As for me, much practice needed to achieve such a rendering)
Love your poetry
Love you

La Liz, THANK YOU, dear Poetess!!!

I highly doubt that you would require "much practice" to learn a new poetic form! You, m'dear, are a natural ~ and your poetry ~ and you ~ are respected by all!
