It’s a little bit unnerving this renumbering this twisting like I’m somehow not deserving and then there’s the remembering of other autumn days and ways I had of reminiscing and of making things less, lest I find my heart missing or slighted somehow in the shuffle of re-positioning but no matter which memory I go down there’s always still the wishing until there’s no other choice but the surrendering of any ideas of winning and so I pick myself up and start again from the beginning. Oh, my Sweet Shellie, I know just how you feel. I had to do that, too. it wasn't easy to pick up the pieces and start all over again. But, I wasn't about to give up. |
