Love Blends

In my pickup
I picked up a woman
down in Cheyenne.
She was just
hanging around
wasting some time
and said she
needed a friend.
She was part Cherokee
and I was part Sioux,
so we figured that two
halfs of an indian
could figure out some
fun things to do.
She made moccasin's,
and I rode rodeo,
while we were touching
each others hearts,
love blended
our souls.

James,

This was clever and extraordinary. I particularly love any poem having anything to do with trucks or women, country or chew.

I hope to read more.

Paul

I love my dog, and my truck. It's that simple, really.

So lovely, dear James. A casual meeting that ends with soul blending. That's good luck!

Love,

That was really sweet. For some reason it just made me feel really carefree.

a very interesting 'slice of life' and chance meetings write!

GREAT line:

"we figured that two
halves of an Indian
could figure out some
fun things to do(!)"

applause for this 'penning' !!

WOW! These are great song lyrics!
But if you want to keep it as a poem
it'[s still great!
I love poems that seem like the writeer is living the poem. You have that quality in allof your work

Hi, James! I concur with all the responses!

I am quoting the following from La Liz's response ~ "I love poems that seem like the writeer is living the poem." ~ Yeppers! Me too! ~ and your poems fit the bill, so to speak!
