Dry paper sounds, evening
dropping, scratching leaves bob
in the breeze like
a new small mammal
scurrying quickly from eyes.
Robins ticking, finches feasting
on autumns seed bounty.
Cooler now, all changing.
decay pervading freshly blown
to senses alive again.
Like an old friends
return, to vivify, excite.
Behind my smile i
glow, anticipation of things
to come, thoughts, dreams,
memories will flood through
like streams of silver,
meandering, calling me back
home to nature, to
friends waiting my welcome,
no conditions, no expectations,
they are as they
are, living, colourful,unique.
Nature is me, my
secret place, it leads
me along it's path
of wonder and winsomeness,
gives me sweet air
to gasp at it's
inspiring, mesmerising, perfect beauty.

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage. Lao Tzu 6th century BC.

Love this! Thanks for the new 'library' gift!

grand-fine 'changing seasons' imagery ...

I am especially fond of the ending:

"Nature is me, my
secret place, it leads
me along it's path
of wonder and winsomeness,
gives me sweet air
to gasp at it's
inspiring, mesmerizing, perfect beauty."

MUCH (sustained) applause for this 'penning'!
