i wait for you beautiful friends, fisher of rivers my vision now lonely; only sticks and memories remain to validate the space you own in silence of the wind, i can hear plaintive songs call warning to my yearning imagination my eyes, ears (and heart) remember winter flies in on silver-gray clouds brilliant leaves slowly rot under snow and i will gaze upon frozen rivers waiting for a boreal spring eyes fixing on tangles of sticks, as my emptiness waits to be filled ears anticipating duet tones, carrying conversations in midflight then, again, i will be vigilant in admiration of true magnificence Osprey, fishers of cold waters high-wires nesters, stately proud i wait for you - Alison |

Oh, dear Alison, this captured me deeply. There are both the feelings of joy and of melancholy for the change of season, so beautifully rendered. Just saw a movie yesterday with quite a few sceneries of Alaska (Sitka) and all the while I thought this is Alison's world. (The Proposal with Sandra Bullock ...). "I wait for you" is wonderful and I will be waiting for your winter poetry with joy. Love and hugs. Margherita |

Yearning expressed VERY poetically, dear Lasky Girl!!! I could feel what you were feeling. See what you were seeing. Excellent piece of writing. This is now one of my new favourites of yours! I especially liked the following lines ~ "and i will gaze upon frozen rivers waiting for a boreal spring" "Osprey, fishers of cold waters high-wires nesters, stately proud i wait for you" Alison, this is wonderful!!! I imagine the winters are loooong and hard up there in Alaska Land. Love and a big warm hug, Linda |

excellent, powerful 'write' ... grand-fine imagery! I am especially fond of: "winter flies in on silver-gray clouds brilliant leaves slowly rot under snow and i will gaze upon frozen rivers waiting for a boreal spring" MUCH applause for this 'penning' !! |
